Patchage http://drobilla.net/blog/software/patchage/ is a useful tool,
but IMHO it also can become confusing, I guess

too (didn't know it before Bruno mentioned it), are easier to use.

IIRC patchage seems to be a tool useful in combination with session
handlers, but it's GUI can become extremely confusing and jack_snapshot
or JMess seems to be better for command line usage and scripts. Subject
to correction ;).
