[Ardour-Users] Insert with file timestamps in OS X??

Hi everyone,

I just got the Harrison Mixbus version of Ardour (2.8.8). Up to now I've been using Digital Performer but I'm getting tired of DP's sluggishness and crashes on my Power Mac G5 Dual 2 GHz. I wasn't looking forward to upgrading to a $3500 Mac Pro 8 core just to run DP and a few nice compressor/ eq plugins. I figured Mixbus was worth a shot. And so far I'm really pleased with having this many good-sounding compressors and eq's without maxing out the cpu. I'm hoping to use Mixbus from now on to mix tracks recorded in DP (or other DAWs from clients) once I get the hang of Ardour.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to place imported files at the file's original timestamp because they all read as starting at 00:00:00:00. I've been trying BWF files that were recorded/edited in DP, and also files that were exported from DP. Ardour's "Move To Original Position" command always places the files at the beginning of the track. These same files can be imported back into DP and they snap to their correct original timestamp locations. 

I thought I read that this bug was fixed in my version of Ardour, so I'm not sure why this is still happening. Any help will be greatly appreciated... thanks!
