Hi, Mikael.

On that range, I would recommend first of all:
* Edirol (now Cakewalk) UA-25EX:
http://www.thomann.de/es/cakewalk_ua_25_ex_cw.htm

I bought one recently and it works great out of the box. I'm using Musix 2.0
as my distro for musical production and stuff, but It would work with any
kernel version not too old. It's supported by Alsa[1].
AFAIK it has a really good HW quality for that money, and the mic-preamps
are great.

Other choice could be:
* M-Audio Fast Track Pro:
http://www.thomann.de/es/maudio_fast_track_pro.htm

Personally, I prefer the UA, robuster and better for me. Anyway, in LAU list
they reported Fast Track Pro works ok.

P.S: By the way, I think ASAP I'll prepare a report about the UA and Ardour.
