Right; my e-mails are both about region gain envelope points, not the
track/bus gain automation (I thought I clarified that I was talking about the
gain automation points you draw with the crosshairs right on the region....I'm
sorry if I didn't make that more plain).
All of the issues I mentioned in the first post have been with the region gain
envelope points, to use hopefully the correct, unambiguous, terminology. This
may or may not be what Jörn was referring to, but I am talking about the
region envelope points in both of my e-mails; sorry for the confusion.
The FLOSS manual, at least, refers to the envelope points as 'Gain Automation
Points' and distinguishes them from the points on the automation tracks. The
reference manual in Daisy at stackingdwarves also refers to the 'region gain
tool' and uses the term 'gain automation' when referring to the envelope drawn
with that tool.
And I have had sessions with no automation tracks, but which had region gain
envelope points that extended beyond the end of the associated region
mysteriously extend the session, and the end session location point.
