that's the unanswered part. i have no idea how MIDI gets out of the
iPad, received by <something else> and delivered as MIDI to an app.
given that its an apple product, it would somewhat suprising if it
works with anything except apple equipment. however, its not
impossible that the AC7 and others just send MIDI via wifi to their
*own* "receiver" app running on (yes, you guessed it) a mac, which
then shovels it into the inter-app MIDI system. if that's true then it
would at least be theoretically possible to implement the receiver on
other platforms.
