i've recently used "export range markers" and it worked for me. useful 
with live recordings if you want to get rid of excessive pre- and 
postroll, or if you use the end of a session as a kind of scratchpad for 
edited-out snippets.

they become part of the toc file. where they end up in on the cd i'm not 
sure, but iirc there's a continuous subcode in the data stream (or was 
that DAT only?). wikipedia should know.
