[Ardour-Users] Possible GUI problem?

Thanks for the tip, I was able to get a 2.8 package but alas the problem persists. Does this mean that it's something with my system?

Well it does say their repos are AMAZINGLY out of date if that was the most recent version. Holy crud. Check getdeb.net and see if they might have a more recent version there.

I should probably mention that I did also try uninstalling the one I built and downloaded the older version from the repos (2.3.1) and still encountered the same problem. Not sure if this will help pinpoint the issue.

Thanks,
Eric

Did you build Ardour yourself? If so did you build it with SYSLIBS=0 or SYSLIBS=1?

I recently updated my Ubuntu distro from Gutsy to Hardy and when I rebuilt Ardour 2.8 there seems to be something missing from the GUI. There are no wavefroms and the location marker/ tempo area is blank as well. I am a complete noob so this could be something very simple but I can't figure it out, I believe I downloaded all the necessary GTK packages from Synaptic. Attached is a screenshot. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Eric
