This is the references for the inode.  If you list the
Inodes 'ls -li 2009418session2_0.aif' and do the
same on the file that you imported, im guessing that they
will have the same inode number.  It looks like some of those
files contain several hard links to them.  

HMSS_SchH_Ludger.aif  has 6 links
HMSS_SchH_MKov.aif has 5 links
Etc.

Hard-links can be somewhat confusing at times, but they are 
also invaluable in situations like how Ardour is using them 
because they don't take any additional space.

what does that mean? in fact i have the feeling now with the global  
option unchecked it really doesn't eat my HD space....
