hmm. afair, not copying the files is only possible if the session
directory resides on the *same partition* as the to-be-imported file,
since ardour tries to use hard links - or did that change?
i think this is what sciss is seeing.
maybe a symlink option should be added (but then the user must take care
not to nuke the original file, obviously).
