[Ardour-Users] Restoring Project to a Previous Snapshot

Yeah, ive done that before too.  I just copy 'before_experiment.ardour'
to overwrite your original projects .ardour file (probably the same name
as the directory its in), then reopen it in Ardour.

 

That should work for you.

Hi everyone,

I'm using Ardour 2.5, on Ubuntu.

I created a snapshot, 'before_experiment'. Then, I proceeded to totally
destroy my project.

Now, I want to get it back to how it was when I made the snapshot. In
the right pane, on the snaphots tab, I can click on my snapshot. It then
loads the project, and everything is just how I want it. However, when I
try to save and close the project, it always reverts back to the current
state.

I want the snapshot to *replace* the current project's state. Is that
possible?
