I think the Ardour splash screen could show the top ten feature
requests as well as how much has been donated and how much there is to
go. I'm pretty sure that if I saw some request that was looking for
$10 to kick it the top then I'd probably pony up the money on a day
when I'm in a good mood.

Anyway, it's just an idea. I'm thinking something right in Ardour.
Visible, but not overbearing, and tied back into the web site to get
up to date data. We could even have a daily inspirational message from
Paul displayed there. Sort of like Calvin & Hobbs... ;-)

If the machine is not network connected then it shouldn't delay
accessing the program proper.
