Never seen this one myself. Do you have Jack installed? You don't
declare your distro so it's hard to help with package management
issues.

You didn't include the command line for how you tried to start Jack,
and you're asking on the Ardour list, so it's possible that you're
hoping Ardour will start it for you? Not sure.
