Well that just about sorts it out then. I run VST instruments (using 
dssi-vst and jack-dssi-host, and very good it is too) so 64 bit is right 
out of the question. I'm not geeky enough to operate gentoo.... well, 
actually I've never tried, I may be, I'm geeky enough to spend all day 
researching PC components..... :)
