[Ardour-Users] Ardour uses 18% of CPU while idle ???

Yes, do you have plugins on your session?  It isn't just one plugin, but if
you don't tell Ardour specifically to stop plugins on transport stop, your
plugins will continue processing the silence, so you will incur that
processing overhead still.
