[Ardour-Users] Play button fails me - transport doesn't start

Just a quick reply. The connect window is being set up by Ardour with Auto
Input when I create a track for the microphone. In my connections window
there is nothing labeled "System", "Capture", or "Playback". There is just a
"Readable Clients/Output Ports" on the left with "Ardour" and "freebob_pcm".
The left is the same except it's labeled "Writable Clients/Output Ports".
"freebob_pcm" is obviously my FirePod with 8 in/2spdif & 8 out/2spdif. Where
would I find the playback ports? Under Ardour or freebob ? Sorry this is
short I'll send more details when I get back from work.

Thanks,
Greg.

Thanks,
Gregory Jones

Tolerably early in life I discovered that one of the unpardonable sins, in
the eyes of most people, is for a man to presume to go about unlabelled. The
world regards such a person as the police do an unmuzzled dog, not under
proper control. -Thomas Henry Huxley
