the "rabbit" filter is officially known as libsamplerate (SRC, aka
"Secret Rabbit Code"), written by erik de castro lopo who also wrote
libsndfile. its the same library used by most open source software that
does this stuff, including ardour. it was tested in a head-to-head
situation against many proprietary solutions last year, and though it
wasn't the best overall, it was actually towards the top of the pile in
almost every way.
