Yeah, that works.

Using the alsa/sequencer ports, I'm seeing the instability mentioned
earlier. With alsa/raw ports it's OK. Which is not suprising because
when I was busy with the code I didn't do any testing with
alsa/sequencer ports :-|

I'll take a look when I get a chance. Which may not be for a while. This
is the first time I've even started ardour up for about 2 months.
