[Ardour-Users] Path to Jack

Up until a week ago, Jack used to start automatically each time
I launched Ardour.  Then it suddenly stopped working.  At first I thought
this might be because I'd used QJackCtl independently for something,
although I was careful not to change any of its settings.

However that turned out not to be true.  Jack and Ardour are on different
partitions.  If I restore an old backup copy of the Jack partition, the
problem still happens.  Launching Ardour (from a terminal window)
throws up an error saying:-

" exec of JACK server failed: No such file or directory "

so it looks like Ardour has somehow forgotten where Jack is located.
Does anyone know how to find out the path to Jack - and how do I reconfigure
Ardour so it'll know the correct path again?
