[ardour-users] A decent sound card for Ardour

After much deliberation, I'm thinking about buying this sound card to 
install in my PC (running Windows & Linux):-

It seems to have Linux/Unix drivers available so I suppose it should work.
However, being a novice with Linux, I'm not too sure....  I've found that
some hardware cards seem to need different drivers for different Linux
distros.  Is there any reason to think it might not work with Ardour &
Ubuntu?

Also, do I need to factor JACK into the equation?  The card seems to be
ASIO-2 compatible so does that mean it should work with JACK or are
there other things I need to consider?
