Try hdparm -t instead of hdparm -T, as the latter will give you your
memory bandwith, not your hard drive bandwith. To get a more acurate
measurement, try one of the many benchmarking utilities for Linux
(i.e. Bonnie http://www.acnc.com/benchmarks.html).
