[ardour-users] crash while recording automation

hi to the list,
i am using ardour 0.99 with demudi 1.2.1 on ibmR50e and rme-multiface
today i got following problems:
working on an one time mono+one time stereo session, i tried to
automate  the gain of a mono track and  both, the gain and pan of a
stereo track!
the ardour-master is conected to a jamin session, which plays on
pcm_playback1+2!
both tracks have an prefader EQ (sth. with triband+shelves) and a
postfader dyson-compressor working
the session is about 35 minutes long
after the automations-data are recorded, trying to switch the
pan-automation-mode to "play", (exspecially the stereo track), the hole
mashine freezes up, and there is nothing else to do for me, as to  do a
hard reset!
is this kind of known bug?
i think that i read about, the hole automation-thing is still a issue in
work?
does somebody knows more about / has any idea?
