[ardour-users] two noise issues

Hi All,

I was wondering what I am doing wrong.  I am running ardour on a new
thinkpad with ubuntu, and using any of the graphic equalizer plugins
causes horrible noise while the sound is being played.  i can tweak it
for a bit, but then for no reason it turns to horrible noise, and even
if i stop playback and try again, once it makes noise it won't go back
to working again.  if i load the same eq again from the plugins dialog
it will go back to working, but then just as quickly go to noise
again.

the other question:  when i copy and paste different sound snippets
together, there is an annoying click where the two clips meet.  i know
there must be some obvious way to deal with this but i am a
super-newbie.  any help would be appreciated!
