[ardour-users] compile problems slackware 10.2

I'm trying to compile on slack 10.2 system. The slackware package on
linuxpackages.net crashes with Illegal Instruction so I decided to compile
0.99.2 from source.

scons -j2 prefix=/usr

stops with error:

scons: *** [libs/ardour/audio_playlist.o] Error 1
scons: *** [libs/ardour/audio_track.o] Error 1
scons: building terminated because of errors.

Any help greatly appreciated.
