G'day Esa,
the option is in the wine conf file in the .wine dir in your home dir.
if you scroll down to the X11 section I think, you'll find an option for 
Window something....say no to that (default yes) and you're away!

I'm not at my DAW at the moment, but if you have trouble ask again and I'll 
look up the exact entry,
