I think that's probably true. Unfortunately the Mac platform has
always been far too expensive, and while the main app is more stable
the ability of the Mac platform to run plugins if far poorer, so it's
a bit trade off.

PC - PTLE - unstable, but I get reverb and other goodies
Mac - PTLE - stable, but not as many plugins

I'm looking at a Mac Mini right now as I'm so fed up with Windows.
Either that or dump PT completely and go with Ardour and reduced
hardware choices. I think Ardour will do audio better than PTLE in the
near future. However without MIDI and without access to better high
-end hardware (ala the better 1394 devices, etc.) it's a hard choice.
