Up where it shows the labels for your timeline, right-click and select
the menu item that shows the 'tempo' markers.  A tempo timeline should
now show up with your other timelines.  You will see a little red tap
set for 120 as the default. Right click this tab to modify the tempo. 
You can later insert additional tempo tabs along the timeline to change
the tempo at any point in the piece.
