I think it helps. I've just brought up Gentoo's ck-sources. As root
I'm running Jack at 16/2 (.73mS latency) and no xruns so far. Haven't
done much, but with Jack running at 16/2 I can go to the console, I
can run hdparm -tT, get good disk results, and can browse the web.
Still no xruns, so that's not bad if I can get the realtime-lsm module
added to it.

There seem to be updates here. The most recent is realtime-lsm-0.8.5
dated 11/24/04. Is that the most recent?
