Well, it's disappointing but I think I can work around it. I'll have to 
forego the use of the external sequencer as a slave, but perhaps in 
future I'll be able to use it as the timecode master. Meanwhile of 
course I can simply save my work in Seq+ as standard MIDI files and use 
them in either MusE or Rosegarden. At that point I can simply rely on 
JACK for the sync stuff.
