You can obviously see what you can accomplish with the slower
internal drive, and if necessary get an external firewire drive
for audio later.  You will need either a firewire interface (or
USB 2.0) in the laptop, if it's not built-in you'll need a spare
cardbus slot for a cardbus interface.
