[ardour-users] good system...but crackling in audio?

okay, here's what I get when I try to build ardour-0.9beta16.1...

plugin_ui.o(.text+0x6ad3): In function

I'm running gcc 3.2.2, glibc 2.3.2-11.9, and kernel 2.4.21-1.ll.acpi /w
low latency patch.  The distro is redhat 9 but I've manually upgraded a
lot of stuff since I first installed it.
