Hi I found a suse apt version and could install ccrma jack version.
by the way the ccrma apt version was working on suse 9.0 .

So I wrote a script to start jack with the following result:

getting driver descriptor from /usr/lib/jack/jack_dummy.so
getting driver descriptor from /usr/lib/jack/jack_oss.so
getting driver descriptor from /usr/lib/jack/jack_alsa.so

again this worked with suse 9.0 ?

I did configure alsaconf to get the right soundcard.

What :assertion "pcm" failed mean ?

thanks otto
