[Ardour-Dev] Audio/Midi Editor

I found the request in Mantis, but what's your idea about this feature ?

Hydrogen provides a more user friendly interface, and running Ardour with
hydrogen isn't really easy. Each time I load a project in ardour, I have to
do the same in hydrogen. The Jack session feature is the solution, but when
I have only a MIDI region in Ardour for drums, it's not possible to edit it
easily.
But in the case of hydrogen this is not a real constraint. I think to
something more generic, if I want to open a MIDI or Audio region in another
editor.

I'm running Ardour 3 rev11494, and I try to find how I can improve the user
experience.
