me too! there are, of course upsides AND downsides; overall, i think it makes quickly executing various crossfades more efficient. OTOH, i very much miss the ability to construct arbitrary fade curves -- i've written to harrison about this, and i think they might be considering some ideas for allowing more control over curves. it's a question of methodology...
