there are no relevant patches for GTK on OS X any more that are
associated with ardour. None of the patches that I did write were
related to threading or realtime. All of the patches, except one
disgusting hack, are part of mainline GTK at this time.

Thanks for the info. Does that mean that the instructions for building Ardour on OSX listed here (http://ardour.org/building_osx_native) are no longer valid?
