Job offer for a Software Developer C++ (m/f)

IOSONO is the leader in spatial audio technology focusing on

international team of specialists in the fields of acoustics, software
and algorithmic development, and user interfaces from our locations in
Los Angeles, US, and Erfurt, Germany.

Founder and chair man of IOSONO is Karlheinz Brandenburg, often referred
to as “father of MP3” and head of the Fraunhofer Institute for digital
media technology IDMT.

To strengthen our development team we are currently looking for a
Software Developer (m/f) located at our headquarter in Erfurt, Germany.

Job description:
• Design and implementation of platform-independent software
applications in C++
• Design of application concepts and software specifications in
collaboration with professional audio end-users
• Define and implement interfaces to other software modules
• Integration of IOSONO software into existing Digital Audio Workstations
• Ability and willingness to work in an agile development team and
adhere to the Team’s development and documentation standards

Required skills:
• Master degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar
• Experience in the development of applications and algorithms in the
domain of digital audio signal processing
• Several years of professional experience in C++ software development
under several platforms as well as object-oriented design using design
• Very good knowledge of several compilers (Visual Studio, GCC), the
version control system “Subversion”, and the doxygen documentation framework
• Very good knowledge of the Qt Framework and Boost libraries
• Proficiency in multi-threading techniques and handling of real-time
requirements in software development
• Knowledge of profiling and testing techniques in C++ development
• Experience with agile software engineering practices
• Goal-oriented, systematic, self-contained and responsible approach

Other valuable skills:
• Experience in software development under Mac OS X using XCode/GCC
• Knowledge of several Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) as well as
experience in implementing DAW plug-ins (VST, RTAS, Audio Unit, etc.)
• Experience in 3D graphics programming
• Knowledge of the SCons build system and python programming
