[Ardour-Dev] Programming on a Mac

Back in February I bought myself a Mac Mini - mostly to use with Mixbus but also because I needed something small that would work with my existing monitors. My longer term intention was to partition it into various OS's and transfer my programming tools onto it. But there's a problem....
The Mac came with a shiny aluminium keyboard, about 18 inches by 4 inches (450mm x 100mm). Any Mac users out there will know the one I mean. It has flat, white keys with the QWERTY section on the left, a numeric keypad on the right and some navigation keys in between them. But for the life of me I cannot find a hash key - so it would be pretty useless for C++ programming.
Is the hash sign hidden somewhere? Or can I program one of the function keys to do this? Or do Mac programmers need to buy themselves a 'proper' keyboard? If so, does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative keyboard? Thanks.
John
