[Ardour-Dev] request for Ardour 2.0-ongoing

Hello,

Some time ago I requested a feature (with $100 sponsorship offered by
me and someone else) and that request was fulfilled but applied to the
3.0 branch ( http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=2425 ). I don't
know how far we are from a 3.0 release but I was wondering if this
could be easily included in 2.0. It is a feature I would find very
helpful right now. Of course, this would only make sense if there is
any other 2.0 release planned.
