This tells me that there is a lack of sophistication on knowing what (and how much) medium to put into the massage. There are apparently very few "ladies" in the mix. Women can often provide the best way to dress, the best way to look, and how to best express yourself, etc. so this faux pas can be overlooked as a lack of oversight. The community is very small, and you need each other more than you know. It is worth it to you not to alienate anyone who is "fighting on your side".

I agree. Good round up.
There are not a lot of women involved directly in Linux Audio
Development. But many of us have wifes/partners/girlfriends who no doubt
would be able to fill in most n00bs on the latest events within the
community to a high degree of detail.
In the past it has also been pointed out that many of the women who are
active refrain from getting involved in the most heated discussions and
some will even adopt masculine aliases when they do so as not to get
singled out.
By and large though LAD is a very male environment for better or worse.
Cheers.
