The number of professional web developers is much higher than
the number of professional recording engineers though. Web developers
are also likely to be more aware of free and open source software
since so much of the internet infrastructure already runs on it.

The potential user base among pro sound engineers, most of whom
are completely uninterested in software other than as a tool,
is relatively small.
