cool idea. we really need some "use ardour" and "created with ardour"
banner art...
two minor points:
i'd prefer the word "contribute" (as in: do your share) over "donate"
(which to me means: give something without getting or expecting anything
back). maybe native english speakers are better qualified to judge this,
but i would donate to a charity, whereas my ardour contributions are in
exchange for something very palpable (i.e. an excellent DAW).
and maybe it would be better if the "donate/contribute" button was a
link to ardour's contribution page. when money is involved, people are
rightfully concious about security, and deep-linking into a financial
exchange procedure doesn't look too trustworthy (even if it doesn't
introduce any real security issues).
as soon as i have my website up, i'll pick up eivind's idea. not that i
expect it will amount to much, but at least more people get the notion
that a) there is free software, but b) that it still might make sense to
contribute money to its creation.
