I'm a sleeper on this list, being a user interested in tracking the
development of Ardour, but can I just say that such an online
fundraiser for 3.0, and the exciting stuff 3.0 is promising, would
very much make me want to donate.

I think the midi stuff in particular has a lot of people psyched.

Set a high but still realistic goal with an updating thermometer
thing. Encourage everyone to spread the word. I'm just waiting to
throw some money at y'all.

I know this isn't a long term solution to the money problem but still, cash in!
