[Ardour-Dev] scons -h is dead

Hello

While scons alone works, scons -h (or --help) gives an error on the first check 
(pkg-config version):

     $ scons --help
     scons: Reading SConscript files ...
     pkg-config >= 0.8.0 not found.
     $

The same check with scons is ok:

     $ scons
     scons: Reading SConscript files ...
     Checking for pkg-config version >= 0.8.0... yes
     (...)

pkg-config 0.22.0 is installed
I'm on debian Sid, with scons 0.97.0d20070918-1
(run with python 2.4.4)
