[ardour-dev] Google Summer of Code 2007

This is a reminder for those who don't read the ardour.org website that
Ardour is once again a participant in Google's fantastic Summer of Code
project for 2007. Last year saw Dave Robillard's work on MIDI recording
and playback (still awaiting a merge into the trunk, which will happen
as soon as we get 2.0 out the door), Hans's work on persistent undo/redo
(part of Ardour 2.0 since last summer) and Tim Mayberry's incomplete but
functional Windows port.

Our "ideas page" can be seen at http://ardour.org/summerofcode2007, and
we have plenty of room for new student applications to work on an Ardour
project for the summer. Students receive US$4500 for 3 months of work -
not huge by US standards, but even then nothing to sneeze at given that
we won't be breathing down your neck unless you ask us to.

If you, or any computer science students that you know, might be
interested in working on Ardour this summer, please check out the
website for more information.
