here are some issues that I came across in beta12.

* plugin edit crashes. horrible.

* xfades at beginning and end of regions are lost when regions overlap 
(try quitting ardour and opening again)

* crossfade options in the menu do not reflect what's actually used.
have to uncheck and check the options. also, for a crossfade to become 
active after changing options, one has to move the regions away from 
each other and back again.
