[ardour-dev] Cross fades not working

OK the reason it wasn't immediately obvious is that crossfades seem to work 
fine in a new session. However, once the session has been saved, closed and 
re-opened, new crossfades cannot be made. Existing crossfades will be seen 
and can be adjusted but once removed cannot be re-made.
