[ardour-dev] Ardour2 issues (and minor feature request) up to revision 1185

howdy ... here's a list of issues i've been compiling (some may have
been mentioned before):

* Visibility of Measures comes and goes depending on zoom level, but
mostly goes when whole session is visible.

* If you duplicate a region, and thereby push the "end" marker further
down the timeline, when you Undo the duplication the "end" marker is not
restored to its previous position.

* States of collapsed-width tracks in Editor are not remembered - after
collapsing, select a different track, then select collapsed one again -
it will be back to uncollapsed.

* if a new send is created ("send 1") and then deleted, the next send
that is created will be named "send 2", rather than resetting to "send 1".

***** cleanup of audio files not working at all ... rapidly losing hard
disk space :(  *****

* region tab in edit window does not allow right-click context menu in
the empty area beneath the listed regions, unlike the other tabs.

* if you add a pre-fader plugin with 1 input, 2 outputs to a mono
channel and then remove the plugin, the panner disappears from the channel.

* ctl-drag isn't working - doesn't copy the ctl-dragged region.

* i have a stereo channel with a vst effect on it, and with latest svn
all operations on this channel now produce this log message "[ERROR]:
cannot check VST chunk directory: Permission denied". i'll try looking
into this more, as i'm not entirely sure if this was introduced with the
update, or something wierd that i've done.

* FEATURE REQUEST: scissor tool - more direct than range tool, select
scissor icon from tool menu, then point and click at location on region
to instantly cut it in two. maybe it's already possible to do this?


is this still the best place to send these reports, or should i get
unlazy and feed the mantis?
