    Electrically speaking yes, physically, they are pretty tough boxes. 
We use them on our ships and hydrographic survey launches (not a nice
environment unless you're fond of doing the technicolor yawn).  If
you're going to be using them in a studio, Paul's absolutely correct,
there's no point in paying that kind of money for standard drives.
