[ardour-dev] TAP EQ/Chorus Plugins distorting/spoiling sound

Greetings, 

Has anyone experienced this before? I tried a couple of nights ago to EQ a Track using TAP Equalizer,
and I nearly got deaf (I was wearing headphones) from distorted/messed-up signals when I was trying 
to raise/lower a band. Same thing happened when I tried to add 2 or more voices to TAP Chorus.
These plugins are damn too useful for me. Should I try to rebuild something? Ardour maybe?
