[ardour-dev] Midi devices

I can't seem to get Ardour beta 23 to see the multiple midi hardware 
ports available in the ardour.rc file. I just get the "seq" entry, even 
though hw:0 and hw:1 are listed... can't work it out. I run as root, and 
have deleted both the local ardour.rc and the other one on the system in 
/etc/ardour. Is this a bug ? It does seem to have been a long standing 
problem.... t'would be good if an easier way of  setting up midi was 
devised , or am I missing something ( wouldn't be the first time...)
