[ardour-dev] 44.1 khz/48 khz ??

if the wordclock on your other (playback) machine is being driven at
44.1 kHz, this would be the symptom.

make sure the word clock on your soundcard is switched to internal, or
that it's wordclock is set at the desired playback rate.

this might not be your problem, but it's worth checking.
